Look at the clothes you’re wearing right now, the clothes you have in your wardrobe. Where are they from? Are they from outlets like the Cotton On? H&M?Uniqlo? perhaps.
How about this…do you know who makes your cloth? Are you aware of the social conditions that garment makers work in?
This the approach used by Rocka Atelier a socially conscious fashion brand that aims to provide quality clothing for women and at the same time giving their customers the complete transpareny to know the faces piecing their clothes together one strand at a time.
Meet Saedah, a former drug addict who is now one of those faces. Not only does Rocka push for change with their visions for ethical fashion, but they are changing the lives of these amazing women.

Rocka Atelier is a social enterprise that has given women the power to sustain themselves, all while allowing them to explore their love for tailoring to the fullest.

Shelter: Home for Children

'About a year ago, I began teaching at Shelter, a children's home  and for abused and orphaned children in Petaling Jaya. While I certainly hope my time there benefited the children. While I certainly hope my time there benefited the children, I could not help but gain a new appreciation for opportunities and development of my own childhood. Before I left for the United States last December, I learned up with a couple of good friends and great volunteers at Shelter to create a short film as a small oversight to why some of these volunteers give up some of their insights for these children. Do spare 5 minutes to watch the beautiful video created.'

Shelter home: Hearts to fill

This project was a personal goal to document the personal hardships of many unsung and unseen individuals around us via both interviews and videos. Over time, in the realization that audiences prefer a more positive, actionable story, we chose to cover the next set of characters through the lens of the non-profit in Malaysia and how they approach making an impact in poverty alleviation in Malaysia.

All media on the website was curated by us. This passion project has fueled our aspiration to continue to give back to local communities, both professionally and personally
